MS 150 Ride

For some reason the ride seemed harder than last year. Maybe it was my training, I hadn't had much time to ride this spring. Oh well, we made it.

First ride

We're going downtown to watch the

Minneapolis Downtown Classic

Stage 4 - Minneapolis

6:45 PM – Women's Pro/Elite Race: 40 minutes
7:45 PM – Men's Pro/Elite Race: 60 minutes
9:00 PM – Expo closes

Our ride will go east on Minnetonka Blvd and then catch the commuter trail into Minneapolis. We can watch a little of the Women's race and then head back. Total distance will be about 3o miles. I know I said 20 but it's very flat and there will be a long break in the middle.

Friday night rides start...this Friday the 13th

Amy and I are excited to lead these rides! We hope you will join us.

Here are some details and things we think you should know.
  • This is an organized group ride. Yes, there are a few rules to keep everyone safe. We will go over them before we leave.
  • THIS IS NOT AN ABSOLUTE BEGINNER RIDE. To participate you need to be confident riding with others and able to maintain an average 15 MPH pace. Well maintained road bikes are preferred. If you have a cross bike or MTB come for the first night, give it a try and see how you do.
  • I'm planning on about 90 minutes - 20 miles +or-
  • Everyone needs to sign a liability release that will be kept on file. Let us know if you have already signed one at another LTF club.
  • We need to have your emergency contact info at the club, just in case :)
  • Everyone needs to have PERSONAL ID with them during the ride. A piece of tape with your info stuck inside your helmet works great.
  • We will meet in the BACK PARKING LOT of the Minnetonka LTF
  • Rolling out at 5:30 sharp, unless Amy and I are late getting there.
  • If the weather looks threatening, or is raining, stay home, we won't be riding. I will let the front desk know by 5:00pm each Friday if the ride is canceled.
  • Please bring a spare tube for your bike. I'm happy to assist you with any repairs on the ride.
  • Please email me with any questions.
